Product Introduction

This double high voltage transformer developed and manufactured by our company is two incoming line voltages 6.6kV and 10kV,with capacity of 1000KVA. The high voltage is converted by a no-load tap changer.After conversion, the connection group remains unchanged, the proportion of tap voltage remains unchanged, the winding turns of transformer are arranged reasonably, and the short-circuit resistance is strong. There are no idle turns in the two voltage operation states, but these two voltage can’t use in same time.

This transformer is equipped with a protective current transformer for each phase of high voltage. And each high-voltage bushing is equipped with an arc horn. The arc horn is usually connected between the energized wire and the ground and the protection device. When the voltage value reaches the specified action voltage, the arc angle acts immediately to limit the overvoltage amplitude and protect the insulating equipment through charge flow; The rear voltage value is normal, and the arc horn can quickly restore to the original state to ensure the normal power supply of the system.

What are arc horns:

Arc horn (arc horns) is a prominent conductor used to protect the insulator or switching hardware of high voltage transmission system from flashover damage. Due to atmospheric current, lightning stroke or electrical fault, Overvoltage on the transmission line will produce arc (flashover) on the insulator, thus damaging the insulator. Alternatively, atmospheric conditions or transients during switch operation may cause arcing in the breaking path of the switch. The arc horn provides a path for flashover to occur, bypassing the surface of the protective device. The horns are usually paired on both sides of the insulator, one connected to the high voltage part and the other connected to the ground, or at the breakpoint of the switch contact. They often appear on insulator strings of overhead lines or protective bushings of transformers.
