This 3 MVA transformer was delivered to South Africa in 2015. the rated power of the transformer is 3000 KVA. It is a Step-down transformer 11KV to 0.4KV, the primary voltage is 11kv, the secondary voltage is 0.4kv. We adopted high-quality silicon-steel plates to lower the losses. Our 3 MVA transformer was designed with advanced technology and adopts high quality material and components which result in reliable quality and long operation time.

What is transformer radiator
Radiator is a bank of hollow pipeline which is used to transfer the thermal energy from one medium to another for the purpose of cooling. Some Bank are used at the power transformer for cooling the transformer oil as well as reduces the winding temperature under loading condition. The radiators are connected to the transformer through pipeline at upper and lower side of the transformer.

Transformer protection
Different types of faults may occur in the transformer, if the fault sustains for a long time, the transformer will damage. Therefore, it is required to trip the transformer from both ends i.e H.V & L.V side of the transformer as soon as possible when any fault occurs. The power transformer should also be protected from lightning surges, switching surges, arcing grounds etc. For protecting from the surges, lighting arrester are used at both end of the transformer.
