Product Introduction

SCOTECH delivered 6 units of 2.5 MVA 0.6/22KV step up transformers to South Africa in 2020, the rated power of the transformer is 2500 KVA, they are solar inverter power transformers to be used in PV farm, the primary voltage of the transformer is 0.6 KV and secondary is 22 KV. the primary terminals are plug-in type bushings(elbow type bushings) which allows easy connection for cables, the secondary terminals are high quality copper bus bars, all the terminals are mounted at the side of tank inside cable boxes, the transformers also equipped with oil temperature indicators (OTI) and winding temperature indicators (WTI) to supervise the temperature in oil and windings which makes safer operation. The transformers were designed as K factor 13 to withstand the harmonics, also able to withstand 0.5% of the fundamental current and 3% THD at nominal power, the conservator were painted white and the tanks were painted grey as customer’s demands, our step-up transformer was designed with advanced technology and adopts high quality material and components which result in reliable quality and long operation time.

 

SCOTECH ensure each one of our delivered transformers had passed the full acceptance test and we remains 0 fault rate record for more than 10 years so far, our oil immersed power transformer is designed in accordance with IEC, ANSI and other major international standards.
