The 2000 kVA Oil type distribution transformer was delivered to Ethiopia in 2021.
The rated power of the transformer is 2000 kVA with ONAN cooling, the primary voltage is 33kV with ±2*2.5% tapping range (NLTC), the secondary voltage is 0.4kV, they formed a vector group of Dyn5.

Transformer Construction of the Core:
Winding:
1.Our windings are made of high quality copper.
2.Both High Voltage (HV) and Low Voltage (LV) windings are done using Coil Winding Machines. The Copper strips/wires used in winding are meticulously selected for its quality to give the best output. The Copper strips/wires are paper covered and acts as insulators.
2000 kVA-33/0.4kV Transformer Oil Tank
Oil Tank:
1. The oil tank is a transformer housing containing the iron core, winding and transformer oil.
2. The corrugated tank structure is fully sealed, and the corrugated will expand and compress with the increase of oil, isolating the transformer from the atmosphere and preventing oil deterioration and moisture. After oil removal, rust removal and phosphating treatment, the surface of corrugated oil tank is coated with rainproof paint. Moisture and salt spray.

Routine tests of transformer include:
1.Winding resistance test of transformer
2.Transformer ratio test
3.Transformer vector group test
4.Measurement of impedance voltage/short circuit impedance (principal tap) and load loss (Short circuit test)
5.Measurement of no-load loss and current (Open circuit test)
6.Measurement of insulation resistance
7.Dielectric tests of transformer.
8.Tests on on-load tap-changer.
9.Oil pressure test on transformer to check against leakages past joints and gaskets
