Product Introduction
SCOTECH delivered 12 units of 25 MVA power transformer Bangladesh in 2016, the rated power of the transformer is 25000 KVA, the primary voltage of the transformer is 33KV and the secondary voltage is 11KV. These substation step down transformers were designed with ABB OLTC and equipped with AVR. Our 25 MVA power transformers was designed with advanced technology and adopts high quality material and components which result in reliable quality and long operation time. We also provide distribution transformer, dry type transformer, furnace transformer and rectifier transformer. If you interested in any of these items, pls don’t hesitate to contact us, we will give you more details.
SCOTECH ensure each one of our delivered transformers had passed the full acceptance test and we remains 0 fault rate record for more than 10 years so far, our oil immersed power transformer is designed in accordance with IEC, ANSI and other major international standards.

Packing and Delivery
Why does transformers need tap changer?
Although power systems have a rated voltage, but they often operate at voltages slightly above or below this voltage. This deviation from the rated voltage on the primary side of the transformer is seen on the secondary side of the transformer. Transformers are normally provided with taps to adjust the turns ratio to compensate for this supply variance. This will allow the output voltage to be closer to the rated output voltage when the input voltage is off rated voltage.
